Therapy Services – Respiratory
Medicaid reimburses for respiratory therapy services that include:
- Evaluations
- Treatments
This service is one of the minimum covered services for all Managed Medical Assistance, Long-Term Care and Comprehensive Long-Term Care plans serving Medicaid enrollees.
Eligibility
All Medicaid recipients who are 18 years of age or older and who are in a Long-Term Care or Comprehensive Long-Term Care plan may receive respiratory therapy.
All Medicaid recipients who are 20 years of age or younger and not in a long-term care plan may receive respiratory therapy services in accordance with the coverage and limitations policy.
