Rural Health Clinic Services
Medicaid reimburses for ambulatory primary health care and related diagnostic services to a medically underserved population in a rural geographical area.
Medicaid reimburses one encounter per day, per recipient for the following:
- Adult health screenings
- Behavioral health
- Child Health Check-Up screenings
- Chiropractic
- Family planning
- Immunizations
- Medical primary and obstetrical care
- Optometric
- Podiatry
- Registered nurse services
This service is one of the minimum covered services for all Managed Medical Assistance plans serving Medicaid enrollees.

Florida Medicaid recipients requiring medically necessary rural health clinic services.
