Orthopedic Services
Medicaid reimburses for orthopedic services to provide procedures for the correction or prevention of deformities, disorders, and injuries of the skeleton and associated structures.
Medicaid reimburses for orthopedic services including:
- Arthrodesis
- Osteotomy
- Percutaneous augmentation and annuloplasty
- Spinal instrumentation
- Surgery of the musculoskeletal system
- Surgery of the back and flank
- Surgery of the spine
- Treatment of fractures and dislocations
- Vertebroplasty
This service is one of the minimum covered services for all Managed Medical Assistance plans serving Medicaid enrollees.
Eligibility
Florida Medicaid recipients requiring medically necessary orthopedic services.
