County Health Department Services
Medicaid reimburses for primary and preventive health care, related diagnostic services, and dental services.
Medicaid reimburses one encounter per day, per recipient for the following:
- Adult health screenings
- Child Health Check-Up screenings
- Communicable disease screenings and treatment (sexually transmitted infections, tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS)
- Dental
- Family planning
- Immunizations
- Medical primary care
- Prenatal and obstetric care
- Registered nurse services
This service is one of the minimum covered services for all Managed Medical Assistance plans serving Medicaid enrollees.
Eligibility
Florida Medicaid recipients requiring medically necessary county health department clinic services.
