Podiatry Services
Medicaid reimburses for podiatry services to provide diagnosis and treatment of ailments of the human foot, ankle, and lower extremity.
Medicaid reimburses for podiatry services including:
- Up to 24 evaluation and management visits per recipient, per calendar year
- Surgical procedures for disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower extremity
- Foot and nail care
- Radiologic procedures specific to the foot, ankle, and lower extremity
This service is one of the minimum covered services for all Managed Medical Assistance plans serving Medicaid enrollees.

Florida Medicaid recipients requiring medically necessary podiatry services.
