Five-Year Extension Request and Public Input: Florida’s Medicaid’s 1115 Managed Care Waiver (Project Number 11-W-002064)
The State is seeking federal authority to extend Florida Medicaid’s 1115 Managed Medical Assistance (MMA) Waiver (Project Number 11-W-00206/4) for the period July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2020. The MMA program operates statewide and provides primary care, acute medical care, dental care, and behavioral health care for Florida Medicaid recipients through competitively procured managed care plans. The State seeks to extend the MMA waiver to build upon the successful elements of the program including higher quality of care and stronger protections for Florida Medicaid recipients.

Public Notice and Public Comment: October 11, 2016 -November 10, 2016
The State will provide a 30-day public notice and comment period prior to the submission of the waiver extension to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The State will consider all public comments received regarding the proposed waiver extension .
