Certification Flexibility Rule: Attesting
Providers attesting under one of the options allowed under the Certification Flexibility Rule will have to wait until changes to the online application have been completed spring 2015.
Providers attesting to a flexibility option will be required to complete the Certification Flexibility Options Documentation providing details on why 2014 CEHRT could not be fully implemented.
Meaningful use measures and requirements for Program Year 2014 can be found under the Meaningful Use section.
It is critical that providers enter the certification number that reflects the system version used during the meaningful use reporting period. This may not be the system version currently in use. Use the following chart in understanding the certification numbering scheme:
Providers are cautioned that using a combo number (2013) means two products, one product with 2011 certification and one with 2014 certification, were used during the EHR reporting period. Though a combo number may be obtained by choosing the middle link on the CHPL website and only selecting one product, pre-payment review will question the use of a combo number since it does not reflect two products.
