The purpose of the Medicaid County Health Department (CHD) Certified Match Program is to provide reimbursement to CHD’s for medically necessary nursing, medication, administration, and social work services provided in a school setting to Medicaid-enrolled students.
County Health Department (CHD) Certified Match Program Provider Qualifications
All CHDs are eligible to participate in the certified match program. In order to bill Medicaid under the certified match program, each CHD must be enrolled as a group provider. Each of the advanced registered nurse practitioners (ARNPs), registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs) who will be providing service must enroll as an individual treating provider in the CHD group.
Licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs) and master’s level social workers providing services under the supervision of a LCSW are credentialed by the CHD. The CHD must sign an agreement with Medicaid attesting that its social work services staff providing health related services for which the CHD will bill meet the Medicaid provider qualifications.
