License/Certification Requirements
An occupational license is required for the business and professional licenses for the radiologic technologist and the physician. In addition, some providers of diagnostic imaging services may require licensure as a "health care clinic". Information on licensure as a health care clinic can be obtained from the Agency's Health Care Clinic webpage.
An application for Medicare certification includes submission of a completed application, required documentation, and successful completion of a survey.
Regulations/Guidance
Unless required by the “Health Care Clinic Act,” there are no state licensing requirements imposed by the Agency. The Department of Health, Bureau of Radiation Control regulates x-ray equipment.
