The State Consumer Health Information and Policy Advisory Council (Advisory Council) was statutorily established and assigned to the Florida Center. Its mission is to provide insight and expertise to the Agency regarding the publication and dissemination of health-related data and statistics. With goals that include identifying, standardizing, and sharing health-related data across federal, state, local, and private stakeholders.

Advisory Council Ad Hoc Committees and Workgroups
HEALTH INFORMATION EXCHANGE COORDINATING COMMITTEE (HIECC)
The HIECC is an ad hoc committee to the Advisory Council. It was established to help advise the Agency in developing and implementing strategies regarding an integrated statewide network for the exchange of electronic health records. The HIECC members represent a wide variety of stakeholders actively engaged or interested in health information exchange. HEALTH INFORMATION EXCHANGE (HIE) LEGAL WORKGROUP
The Health Information Exchange (HIE) Legal Work Group is an ad hoc committee to the Advisory Council, comprised primarily of legal counsel and policy experts. The HIE Legal Work Group members provide input on the complex legal and privacy issues related to the Florida HIE.
